An array of new collateral for Kingspan

Impact Sign Solutions Kingspan Logo 2

We have worked with Kingspan Water & Energy Ltd since 2004. Kingspan is a worldwide leader in sustainable and innovative solutions. Its goal is to ‘preserve and protect water and energy sources for future generations’. We work with the Aston Clinton/Aylesbury site.

We were delighted to be able to help bring a pop of colour, imagery and life into their office!

The Brief

We were asked to carry out a full re-brand of Kingspan current collateral to include vehicle graphics, stickers, engraved plaques, site signage, wayfinders, merchandise and more.

They were looking to update what they externally, and add a bit more life and colour internally.

What we did to help

We met on site with our contact at Kingspan to go through the brief and to see exactly what we would be replacing and creating, and we visited the areas that we would be working with internally.

We measured up and discussed colours, materials, and a variety of possibilities to get the best results.

We created, manufactured and installed:

  • An eye-catching external fascia with built up lettering
  • A stunning internal sign made of acrylic lettering for the reception area
  • Bespoke branded wallpaper
  • Wall art using a variety of material including fabric tension, acrylic panels and wall vinyls
  • Triangular acrylic and vinyl wayfinders
  • Merchandise including branded mugs and business cards
  • Bespoke artwork for the company vending machine
  • A vehicle wrap for a lorry
  • Branded blinds
  • One-way vision vinyl window graphics

It was a big job, but we did it! We are extremely pleased with the outcome.

The signs look great! Everyone was really pleased with the results Thanks Andy, you’re a star!

Plaques with Stardust

Impact Signs David Bowie Wall Mount

In 2018, a bronze sculpture of David Bowie was unveiled in Aylesbury’s Market Square. The piece of art, entitled Earthly Messenger, features David Bowie in 2002 as well as a range of his alter egos including Ziggy Stardust.

It was put in place in Aylesbury to celebrate not only this iconic artist, but also his close ties to our town. He first performed as Ziggy Stardust and debuted two albums at gigs at the iconic Friars Club in the 1970s.

Have you seen the statue?

The Brief

Following our work on the Friars Club exhibition in 2014, David Stopps from The Friars Club got in touch with us in regards to the unveiling of the David Bowie statue in Aylesbury. He required a series of graphics for the unveiling, and two permanent plaques – one as a dedication to David Bowie and the other attributed to the statues sculpturer.

What we did to help

We carried out an initial site visit with our client and discussed the brief further. We took the necessary measurements and gave advice on the type of product and material that would work best for this outdoor project.

We created two plaques made from thick acrylic, printed on the reverse side to protect the print fitted to the wall with aluminium barrel fixings They are installed by Impact, to meet a very tight deadline

We are very happy with the outcome of these plaques and believe they finish of the artistic piece just perfectly.

We’re also ecstatic to know that they have been seen around the world through the copious amounts of press the statue has received! We’re extremely proud to be mentioned on the plaque for our support in this project and our MD Andy Borrow even gets a personal mention!

Blimey Daniela, you’re a star! Thanks so much for all the help you have given us on this project. I really appreciate you helping us out with these plaques. The price is extremely helpful. Love peace and music.

Picture perfect panels for the ‘music club that rocked the world’!

The Ramones

On 1 March 2014, Bucks County Council launched a brand-new exhibition to celebrate the iconic Friars Club, based in Aylesbury.

The Friars Club was founded in 1969 and became universally acknowledged as the ‘music club that rocked the World’. It helped launch the early careers of artists such as David Bowie, Genesis, Mott the Hoople, Cockney Rebel, The Clash and more.

We were absolutely delighted to be part of this iconic event. It meant a lot to MD Andy Borrow, as he spent many nights at the Friars and must have seen over 50 bands play there!

The Brief

We were tasked to create photographic panels which included iconic images of artists taken at the Friars, which were on display throughout the exhibition.

What we did to help

We worked in conjunction with Bucks Country Museum and The Friars Club. We carried out an initial site visit with our contacts to discuss the exhibition and task further. We gave our expert advice and opinion on how we can create the boards and which materials to use, to make them not only look fantastic, but also give them longevity.

We did have to overcome some challenges with regards to the available photographs. As we were using original images, some of course were badly worn and others were too small to enlarge, which meant the quality wouldn’t as good and professional as we would expect it.

In conjunction with Lee Upton from Amberflare, we used many creative techniques, such as cloning parts of the images to ‘cover’ up creases, interpolation to increase the DPI, colour manipulation with greyscale, mid-tones and highlights, as well as using specialised Raster Image Processing software to help the transformation from small scans to large output prints.

We used Foamex, a lightweight, yet rigid material and created over 30 prints of varying sizes, as well as making 25 smaller signs free of charge to help promote the event.

We attended the evening event and were thanked in person for our support and hard work. The exhibition was a huge success. It was incredible to be part of this exhibition and bringing this iconic piece of history back to life.

A huge thank you for Impact Signs, who have done such a fabulous job with all of the signs. They look stunning. Thank you.

New sign(ings) at Aylesbury RFC

Aylesbury RFU

Aylesbury RFC

We have been lucky enough to work with Aylesbury Rugby Football Club (ARFC) since 2006. We are also one of their key sponsors.

The Brief

In 2016 Aylesbury RFC tasked us with creating and installing new interior and exterior signs for their recently refurbished club house. They also asked us to update the sponsors signs along the pitch perimeter.

What we did to help

In partnership with local company ''Mediaport'' We met with the General Manager to discuss the project and his requirements. As the club had undergone a refurb, the signs - from the moment guests enter the club gates, come into the club house and step onto the pitch - needed to complement its new look.

We carried out a site survey - taking measurements and photographs of the venue and the pitch.

We submitted product samples that we knew would work best for this project and would be long lasting.

We designed and manufactured the signs inhouse; and our team also installed them.

The external pitch perimeter boards were manufactured using Foamex. This is a versatile and cost-effective product, which is also strong, rigid, durable and water repellent.

As supporters and sponsors of Aylesbury RFC, they are always a great client to work for. We are extremely proud of the outcome. We feel that the signs have added to the enhanced look of the refurbed site and improved the pitch side dramatically.

Andy, thanks for sorting these signs out in time for our match at the weekend. They look great.

Creating a Great Glass Elevator that is out of this world!

Roald Dahl Logo

The Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery

We had the pleasure of working with The Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery in Aylesbury in February 2017.

We are very proud to have been assisting the Museum since 2007, with the creation and installation of graphics on a variety of exhibitions.

The Brief

Our brief on this occasion was to transform its lift into the infamous Great Glass Elevator from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

We were required to remove the current sweetie images from the lift and replace with the brand-new space graphics, both inside and outside.

What we did to help

We met with our client to discuss the brief, our ideas, products and other possibilities; plus carry out the necessary site surveys such as structure and installations. We also took precise measurements and a number of photographs to help us in the quotation and design process.

Our main objective was to make the whole customer experience convincing. We needed to ensure that every time a customer stepped into the lift, they felt like they were part of the story and getting ready to rocket ‘up and out’ of the roof!

To get this visual sensation the best products for us to use were vinyl panels and solvent inks, because of the range of translucency they had to offer.

We had to get the transparency of the print just right, so we carried out several tests. We stuck our test prints to the elevator’s glass sides and checked the amount of light that came through on dull and sunny days, at night, with the lights on and off etc. We needed to make sure it looked good from both inside looking out and outside looking in. This did take some time, but it was imperative we got this perfect.

We worked closely with external agency, Redman Partnership LLP, that supplied the final design. We superimposed the designs onto our photographs taken at the start of the project, to ensure they looked great and the final overall picture worked well. This part of the process helped our client visualise the final look and feel of images, fonts, positioning etc prior to print and manufacture.

Once our client was happy with the ‘splendiferous’ new look, it was time for the installation process.

It was an exciting project to be part of, but also very challenging.

We are very pleased with the outcome and believe this project has been highly successful. We have helped create a memorable window for all visitors to the Bucks County Museum and Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre to admire.

Have you been in the Great Glass Elevator? What do you think?

Many thanks for fitting the final vinyl panel. It all looks great now and the vinyls have transformed the whole look of the gallery.

‘Pulling together’ our design expertise for local Curtain business

Impact Signs Curtains And Linens

We started working with Curtains and Linens Ltd in May 2018 following their move to a larger site in Kites Park, Princes Risborough.

The Brief

Having recently moved to a brand-new site, Curtains and Linens Ltd wanted a prestigious and eye-catching sign that would look great on the outside of their new premises.

What we did to help

We met the customer on site to discuss his requirements and we carried out a full site survey. We also took photographs of the building.

We do this so that we can superimpose logos/designs onto the photographs to ensure they look great and work in the space available on the building. This also helps clients visualise the final look and feel of images, fonts, positioning etc prior to print and manufacture.

Our in-house designer created a range of different logos based on what our customer wanted. These were superimposed onto the photographs, which helped our client choose his favourite design.

We were then able to go through product and material possibilities to ensure we got the desired result. Once all of this had been approved, we were able to move to the manufacture stage.

Between this stage and the sign installation, we supplied and fitted a temporary banner to advertise the company.

To get the prestigious looking sign that Curtains and Linen were after, we advised on the 10mm thick stainless-steel individual lettering and logo. Both of which were powder coated to the colours chosen by the customer.

Our client was unsure of what he wanted at first. We were able to give him some great honest advice and examples of professional signage that we’ve created during from our 25 years. He benefitted from this, along with the product samples and superimposed mock-ups.

We are very pleased with the outcome. It is a simple, yet impressive sign on a modern building.

Wished to say thank you for the new signs you installed a couple of weeks ago, which look fantastic! Also the two installers worked really hard through the extreme heat that day and did a very professional job and were very courteous and helpful.

Building positive communities with quality signs

Watford Community Housing Logo

Watford Community Housing

We have worked with Watford Community Housing for around ten years on key projects; focusing on sign design, creation and installation across its communities.

Watford Community Housing is a housing association that owns and manages more than 5,000 homes across South-West Hertfordshire.

The Brief

Following a rebrand, Watford Community Housing wanted to extend their fresh new look into their communities. They wanted to:

  • update all existing signs using a more prestigious and quality style
  • resolve the issue of vandalism and fading existing signs (created by another company)

What we did to help

As always, we started the process by meeting the client on site to go through the project and discuss their requirements.

As this was a large project at multiple locations, we carried out several surveys at each site to ensure we knew exactly which type of sign was needed where – for example building names, post mounted signs and directional/way finders. Every sites requirement was different.

We held several boardroom meetings to discuss the challenges of vandalism and fading signs. From our wealth of experience, we submitted products samples that we knew would work well.

We kept in touch with the client throughout this large project to ensure we were on track at all times.

During the project we had to be sensitive to residents needs and manage their expectations in terms of noise and privacy.

Anti-vandal signs were created for all neighbourhoods. This ensured that the signs remained looking as good as new for at least 10 years; and the issues of vandalism and fading signs disappeared.

The anti-vandal signs have a 10 year guarantee. Find out more here.

This was a fantastic project to be part of. It was a huge task, but we are extremely proud of the end result. Especially because of the great comments from the tenants themselves! The signs have really enhanced the neighbourhoods and also the quality of their brand.

Here are the BEFORE photographs:

We’ve had lots of positive feedback from tenants and members of the public. Great improvement!

Installing core values into the business

BYRNES DENTAL LABORATORY 300x112

Byrnes Dental Laboratory

We have worked a number of times with Byrnes Dental Laboratory on a variety of projects. It’s great when a client comes back to you again and again, particularly for items needed in a short time frame. We’re glad we were able to help on this occasion.

The Brief

Byrnes Dental Laboratory, based in Wheatley, Oxford, contacted us as they wanted the company’s core values installed on the walls of the lab. We only had a few days to complete this job as they were required for an in-house photo shoot.

What we did to help

Due to the quick turnaround we discussed all requirements and ideas over the phone. Once agreed, we created individually cut vinyl wall graphics for each core value, from the design supplied by Byrnes.

We provided a scaled layout and superimposed the graphics onto images of the various walls, to give the client an idea of the final look, size and position of graphics.

The installation was straightforward, and the graphics looked incredibly smart, making a real impact.

Vinyl graphics are durable, fade resistant and wipe cleanable. From bright bold designs to more subtle images, printed wallpaper and die cut vinyl graphics can add character and interest to any interior.

We were delighted to be able to turn this project around in just a few days.

The team at Impact Sign Solutions Ltd have been great to work with – from the moment I placed my enquiry, walking me through the process and measuring up, to the fitting day and after sales care. The service is prompt, friendly, and helpful.

Furthermore, I had a tight timeline to meet, and Daniela and Mark worked with me to help me achieve that deadline. The signage looks fantastic and I feel I have been delivered excellent value for money.

Very happy customer and I would highly recommend this team and company.

Quick turnaround for Grand re-opening

Impact Signs Solutions Grand Junction Arms3

Grand Junction Arms

Our first project with The Grand Junction Arms in Bulbourne, near Tring, needed a quick turnaround.

The Brief

The new owner of this canal side pub and restaurant got in touch with us regarding a re-brand.

He wanted to update the outside of the pub, focusing primarily on being seen by and enticing in passing traffic. He wanted a design  that was clean and eye catching, and signs that complemented this new look.

We had only 2 weeks to install the news signs in time for the grand re-opening.

What we did to help

We met the owner to discuss all areas of the project and timescales.

As this had a short turnaround, we designed and manufactured the signs in-house. We also carried out a site survey to take exact measurements, and determine the best materials for the project. To keep costs down we re-used and revamped existing signs where  possible.

To ensure a clean and fresh-looking logo on the outside wall, we advised using a wall wrap vinyl as opposed to hand painting, as it is a more economical option.

The logos on the exterior of the building are die cut vinyl graphics  created by our in-house designer.

Other signs include a main fascia, wall mounted printed fascia, information poster mount and projection swing.

This was a challenging task to meet the timescale. But we did it!

It was great to work in such a lovely building.

Here are the BEFORE photographs...

Creating branding with impact for a new extension

Impact Sign Solutions St Louis Image

St Louis Catholic Primary School

This was our first brief from St Louis Catholic primary School.

Following the excellent result of this project, we have continued to work with the school creating commemorative plaques and signs as and when required.

The Brief

We were contacted by St Louis Catholic Primary School in Aylesbury, following their recent extension.

We were asked to create and install brand new signs for this new area, ensuring all branding was consistent throughout.

Signs requirements included fascia (individual letters and logo), post mounted, car park, wayfinding, interior plaques, window graphics - everything!

The work had to be carried out during the school summer holiday, giving us roughly six weeks.

What we did to help

As always, we started the process by meeting the client on site to go through the project. We discussed their requirements, our ideas, materials and other possibilities.

We carried out the necessary site surveys such as structure, installations and risk assessments. We also took precise measurements and numerous photographs to help us in the quotation and design process.

As there were so many elements to this project, we regularly visited the site and held numerous meetings with the client to ensure we were continually on brief.

We used a variety of products for this project.

For the external signs we used individual letters and the school logo, cut from aluminium complete with a 10-year anti-vandal resin. We fitted these with rear locators so that the fixings cannot be seen.

It came to our attention that the client had received a quote by a competitor for signs in an alternative material. With our expertise and knowledge, we knew that this would not have looked as clean and professional as the material we used.

We are essentially here to give clients expert advice on what would work best for their project. It was a very satisfying job with superb results and a very happy customer.

They were extremely content knowing that they had chosen the right product and it will look as good as new in ten years.

We are delighted with the work. Thank you for your hard work.

Bespoke drywipe boards for Wipac

Wipac Image

Wipac Technology Ltd

We started working with Wipac Technology Ltd, based in Buckingham, in 2014.

Over the years we have been involved in creating a range of bespoke items for various projects, and though sometimes different to what we are used to, we were able to deliver as promised and at our usual high standards.

The Brief

Wipac contacted us as they required personalised drywipe boards.

What we did to help

As always, before we start manufacturing items, we provide the client with a sample of the product with their logo on to ensure that it looks good and the corporate colours are correct.

Once approved, we printed the drywipe boards, and then laminated the prints with a bespoke drywipe laminate, so that when wiping clean, the printed graphics are not affected or stained.

Daniela and the team at Impact have gone out of their way to ensure my custom projects are always delivered on time and to a very high standard. Regardless of how unusual the request, how large the project, or how bespoke the requirements are, they always deliver outstanding results. Skilled installation for Aylesbury Automation

Aylesbury Automation Logo

Aylesbury Automation

Aylesbury Automation is the leading automation company in the UK, established in 1961. We have been lucky enough to work with them for over a decade, assisting on a variety of projects.

The Brief

In 2017 we were asked to refresh their fascia signage ensuring it stayed consistent with their corporate branding.

This involved removing their existing tired fascia signs, refurbishing two of these and installing a brand-new option.

What we did to help

We had a site visit to meet the client and discuss in detail what is required. We will always give our expert opinion on what steps we believe need to be taken to get the desired, and best, outcome.

We carry out various surveys, including structural and installation, and we take a range of measurements. We also take photographs of the area we will be working on so that we can superimpose artwork designs onto the photograph, so the client can get an idea of what the final product will look like.

For this project we advised that using individual lettering would enhance the building’s appearance. We offered a range of sample material options and colour swatches and took them through all possibilities.

When the final decision was made, we superimposed the finished artwork, completed by our in-house designer, onto the photograph of the front of the building. Aylesbury Automation went ahead with this classic look and chose the flat cut acrylic lettering in superior high gloss finish.

The individual letters were expertly installed by our Production Manager, Mark. All individual lettering is attached using rear fixings, which are hidden from view. There are no screws to distract from the design, smooth sheen and rich colour. Due to the cladding on the outside of the building, the letters had to fit into its high and low points, to ensure all letters remain flat and levelled. This is a certainly a skilled craft!

We are very pleased with the result. It was a truly satisfying job from our point of view. Taking away a tired, dated and disjointed sign and replacing it with a clean, eye catching and professional one; enabled us to dramatically improve the whole look and feel of the building.

We are all very happy with the new signs. Thank you to everyone at Impact, a great job done.

Gold-seal of approval

Goldseal Conservatories Logo

Gold-seal of approval

We have worked with Goldseal Conservatories since 2009, so it was great to work with them on this project and be with them on the next chapter of their business journey.

The Brief

Goldseal Conservatories Ltd contacted us as they were moving premises and needed new signage for their showroom and new company van graphics.

What we did to help

We met the client onsite at the new premises to go through their requirements and discuss our ideas and the best products for the project.

Once the proposal was approved, we created various designs for the signs using their corporate colours of black and mirror finish gold.

We superimposed each design onto a photograph of the showroom, taken at the onsite meeting. This allowed the client to get an idea of how each sign would look when it was installed. It also made the selection process easier.

We also provided samples to show the quality of each product we recommended.

We wrapped the vans over the weekends and part into the weekday, so they weren't off the road for too long.

It was great to be part of this project and to work alongside Goldseal again.

The signs give the showroom that little bit extra to make it welcoming for when customers visit. Plus, their vans look extremely prestigious and professional, and are a great form of mobile advertising!

Excellent service. Speedy efficient and 1st class.

Keeping customers safe

Kingspan

Kingspan Water & Energy Ltd

We have worked with Kingspan Water & Energy Ltd since 2004, so we were only too happy to help one of our longest standing customers during this challenging time.

We also understood just how important it was to get this project completed quickly, efficiently, and professionally.

The Brief

Kingspan contacted us as they required a range of COVID-19 signage from our online shop, which informs clients, staff and delivery drivers of the updated procedure at their site.

What we did to help

We visited the client onsite to discuss the project straight away as we understood the urgency.

We created some brand-new information signs and created new messaging that would be installed on existing signage. The new messaging would lie over the top of grey back self-adhesive vinyl, so the previous graphics would not show through.

We set to work immediately and provided superimposed images to show how the final artwork would look.

From the quotation stage to designed, manufacture and installation, it took just 2 working days.

We are very pleased that we were able to help Kingspan with this project. By acting quickly, we both were able to get key safety measures in place within a matter of days.

Thanks for getting this sorted so quickly.

Collateral that’s a cut above the rest!

Oak Garden Machinery Logo

Oak Garden Machinery

We started working with Oak Garden Machinery, based in Thame, in 2016. Over the years we’ve created and produced a range of items, predominately for exhibitions.

We are accustomed to working to tight timescales and producing high volumes of merchandise for events and exhibitions.

The Brief

Oak Garden Machinery contacted us as they were attending an exhibition and required eye catching exhibition graphics and promotional items.

What we did to help

After meeting the customer to find out the full extent of their exhibition wish list, we designed and produced a range of collateral including:

  • Exhibition Banners - using material that can be easily rolled, stored and transported and still look great at the final destination;
  • Embroidered clothing;
  • Printed mugs;
  • Coasters; and
  • Notepads.

We also powder coated barrels in corporate colours, adding die cut lettering, which looked excellent and really stood out.

We produced samples of each item to make sure the logo’s colours were correct and matched. This is an important part of the process, as colour consistency across every piece of collateral is key.

This was a great project to be part of, with many different elements to create and pull together in time for the event. We especially enjoyed creating the final look of the barrel. We’re really pleased with the end result.

Amazing! They are looking good!

Lifting moral with colourful vinyl

Watford Community Housing Logo

Watford Community Housing

We have worked with Watford Community Housing for around ten years on key projects; focusing on sign design, creation and installation across its communities.

Watford Community Housing is a housing association that owns and manages more than 5,000 homes across South-West Hertfordshire.

The Brief

Watford Community Housing contacted us as they wanted to add some vibrancy and life to the lifts at their head office by incorporating welcoming images of their residents and their rebranded logo.

What we did to help

We met with the client on site to discuss the project further and inspect and measure the space that we’d be working with.

We discussed a variety of possibilities and advised that the most suitable product for a heavily used area would be self-adhesive vinyl graphics.

We provided a small sample of one of the layouts for client approval to ensure they were happy with the colours and finish.

Once signed off, we digitally printed and expertly installed the graphics on the lift doors. The installation took place out of hours, as the lift doors had to be kept shut at all times!

The images the client provided were fresh and bright, which added that pop of colour making them very eye-catching. This imagery certainly helped produce a fantastic result.

Self-adhesive vinyl provides a great print finish and is extremely durable and versatile, allowing it to be used on a variety of products and surfaces. It is also extremely cost effective.

We really enjoy this type of project where we initially see a dull, blank canvas and then turn it into something bright and fun. Plus, as we used imagery of the Watford Community Housing’s residents, it made the project quite personal to the client. We are very pleased with the outcome.

Watford Community Housing were very pleased with the end result, and the professionalism of Impact who agreed to come to our offices out-of-hours in order to fit the vinyls, thereby minimising disruption to staff.

Temple Square Dental

We’re delighted to have been able to work with Temple Square Dental for the first time on such an important project.

Getting this part of your corporate branding right is key as it gives a powerful first impression to customers. We are incredibly pleased with the result.

The Brief

Temple Square Dental, based in the centre of Aylesbury, asked us to help update their ‘old and tired’ branding, and make it consistent with their new corporate branding.

What we did to help

We carried out a site visit to find out more about the project and discuss possible ideas and products that would give the best result.

Once approved, we produced and installed a directory sign, window graphics, internal Acrylic plaques along with an illuminated reception logo.

We gave advice on the different lighting options to make sure the logo was illuminated as much as possible. We also provided product samples to ensure we got the corporate colours  and specification correct.

The installation took place with minimal disruption to patients, which was paramount.

This was an exciting project to be part of. The signs immediately smartened up the look of the newly decorated surgery.

Andy and Daniela really looked after us. We had quite high demands and not a clue as to what we needed. They both took the time to talk us through our options and guide us with their experience.

When it came time to install the rest of the Impact team were professional and friendly at all times.

Absolutely brilliant team and would highly recommend them.

A tea room with a new view

Hartwell Nurseries

Hartwell Nurseries

If you have visited the Tea Room at Hartwell Nurseries in Stone, you will know the array of delicious fresh food they have on offer, as well as the lovely space where you can enjoy a meet up with friends.

Hartwell didn’t want Covid 19 to end the warm ‘Hub’ that they had created, so they contacted us to help improve their safety measures.

The Brief

The Tea Room wanted to install a transparent barrier on the counter top that would protect staff, customers and the food items, but still make the room look inviting.

What we did to help

We carried out a site visit to speak to the client and find out what they wanted to achieve. We provided expert advice as to which products would work best for their project, took photographs of the area we would be working with and measured up.

We advised they use an framed acrylic screen that fits directly to the counter to keep the area looking clean and tidy, at the same time as displaying freshly prepared food. It was important to us to make a screen that fitted right in with the Tea Room and wouldn’t look out of place.

We created a range of 3D drawings and superimposed them onto photographs taken at our site visit. This gave the client an idea of what the final product would look like and helped with the approval process.

The screen was roughly 5m long and 80cm tall and we manufactured this in-house.

As we carry large stocks of this product, manufacturing the item in-house enables us to complete and install within a very tight timescale.

We are very pleased with the overall look and feel.

The customer is incredibly happy with the installation. He says that it looks as though the screen has always been there!

It’s a wrap!

Impact Sign Solutions Chambers Engineering Logo

Chambers Engineering Ltd

Having carried out a variety of projects for Chambers in the past, we were delighted that they got in touch and asked us to wrap a vehicle for one of their customers. It shows that we are a trusted service provided.

It is great to be involved in a project like this where we can add value to a service offered by another local company.

The Brief

Chambers Engineering contacted us as they needed a customer’s vehicle wrapped. We were asked to transform a white lorry cab to a bold blue.

What we did to help

We inspected the vehicle first to check the contours and coverage. This is to ensure we used the correct vinylto give it that excellent finish. We used 3M vehicle wrap vinyl.

The company logos (Quereus) were sign written separately and added onto the side of the cab, wind defender and back doors. We produced various samples to make sure we got the corporate colours exact and the customer was happy with it. It is extremely important to get this right, because if we don’t, it affects our clients company identity.

To get an expert, clean and high-quality finish, this job had to be carried out in a dust free environment. We completed the work on site at Chambers Engineering.

We used 3M vehicle wrap vinyl. It fits the vehicle like a second skin and moulds within the contours allowing it to be used on the shaped wind defender.

This product is extremely versatile. Not only does the vinyl add a protective layer to your paintwork, it can also be removed without damaging it. It comes with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Everybody was over the moon with the job and your excellent service.

Customers go crackers for new fascia sign!

Impact Signs Double Eight Back Lit Tray Panel Sign

Double Eight Chinese Takeaway

This was our first job with Double Eight Chinese Take-away in Aylesbury. But it certainly wasn’t the first time we visited! (They do great food!)

The Brief

The shop has been in Parton Road, Aylesbury for over 15 years. The owner wanted to spruce up the shops external appearance and change the fascia from a failing fluorescent tube sign, to an up to date illuminated one.

What we did to help

We met with the owner on site to discuss what he was looking for.

We carried out the usual site surveys, took measurements and photographs, so that we could superimpose sign designs at a later stage of the process. We discussed all possibilities in terms of the right product for the desired result.

We then submitted various design options that our inhouse designer created. We wanted to ensure we gave our customer a good selection of designs in colours that suited a Chinese take-away.

We went through a number of samples and colour swatches with the owner; and he even called in to see us at our unit on Rabans Close.

During the installation process, when we removed the existing sign, parts of the building structure underneath were rotten. This needed repairing and weather proofing desperately. We carried this out on behalf of our customer before installing the brand-new fascia.

We used an aluminium fascia to give a clean and prestigious look. This material is very long lasting, and the sign is much more economical to run due to the LED lighting.

We are incredibly proud to transform a shop from having an appearance that’s old and outdated, to smart and eye catching.

The shop's image has improved dramatically, and the customers have noticed.

Here are some before, during and after photographs. I'm sure you can see there's a huge difference!

Nick was really happy with his new sign. He has received many positive comments from his customers.

No longer getting lost at Woodrow High!

Woodrow High House Logo

Woodrow High House

Woodrow High House are 'on a mission to improve the lives of young people of all backgrounds and abilities, challenging them to become the best they can be. Young people need opportunities outside school to have fun with their friends, to learn new skills and to make a positive change in their communities.'

We were only too happy to help with their project.

The Brief

Evie from Woodrow High House in Amersham needed our help as the pupils, staff and visitors were finding it difficult to navigate around the school. What they needed was wayfinding signs and we were the right people to help!

What we did to help

Andy our MD went to Woodrow to measure the internal areas that required signs and showed examples of different materials that we would recommend. They were also looking to update their entrance sign, so it looked more welcoming, eye-catching and colourful and a cark park sign to make it easier to navigate.

The end decision for the internal signs was to go for Acrylic plaques. The plaques were laser cut and directly printed in-house, using their corporate colours, making sure they had a modern look to them. Printed on the rear, ink could not be removed or ruined with cleaning or being picked off. Once ready we sent along our skilled fitters to the school to fit all the plaques for them.

New signs for a new logo

Freemantle Trust Logo

Fremantle Trust

We have worked with the Fremantle Trust for many years, providing a range of sign solutions for this Aylesbury based registered charity and not for profit organisation.

The Brief

Phil from Fremantle Trust contacted us as they had just refreshed their logo and were looking for replacement signs for various care homes within their Trust.

We were only too happy to help!

What we did to help

We went along to the various locations around the Bucks area to measure the existing signs. All the signs were made in-house, printed on our large format flatbed printer. The UV durability makes it perfect for outdoor use! We also had to make sure all the new signs were within their corporate guidelines.

Our Installation Manager Mark went along to all the sites to fit the post and wall mounted signs for them.

Thanks Daniela, you, you have saved my life.

Putting their Trust in us

Trust logo

Vale of Aylesbury Housing

We have worked with Vale of Aylesbury Housing (The Trust) for many years on various projects at both its head office and sheltered housing schemes.

We were very pleased when they contacted us to assist in improving their Covid 19 health and safety measures, as it shows they truly trust our knowledge and expertise.

The Brief

The Trust wanted to enhance the safety measures within their reception area and customer meeting rooms, by installing larger protective screens that wrapped around the reception desk and created a Covid 19 protective barrier in the meeting room.

What we did to help

We carried out a site visit to find out more about the project, provide expert advice as to which products would work best, take photographs of the areas we would be working with and measure up.

Due to the size of the reception desk and the glass panelling already installed, we had to create a bespoke screen that could fit easily and safely to the existing glass and still make the waiting area look welcoming and professional. We wanted to ensure that nothing detracted from the Trust’s brand, and if anything, enhance it.

The three customer meeting rooms also required bespoke acrylic panelling, which were installed over the desks fitting snuggly in between the walls either side.

We created 3D drawings and various versions of the new screens for approval. We also superimposed our drawings onto the photographs taken at our site visit, to give the client an idea of what the final product would look like. Once approved, we set to work with the installation.

We worked closely with the Trust’s Facilities Co-ordinator throughout the design, creation, and installation process to ensure they were happy with every aspect of our work. This helped the project move along quickly and efficiently.

Since installation, the client has asked us to extend the height, and also brand the bottom panels. This can easily be carried out as it is a modular system.

Feedback from Senior Managers is that the love the look of the Reception Screen!

Never a poor reception at Mix96

Mix96 Logo

Mix96

We’ve been working with our local radio station, Mix96 since 2013.

We enjoy working with such a great business. They are involved in so many different projects in and around Aylesbury, we often get to see the items and products we’ve created for them all around the Vale at different events or even when they’re driving through town in the Mix car!

The Brief

Mix96 contacted us as the wanted to freshen up their main entrance and add their core values to their office wall to make them visible for team members.

What we did to help

After carrying out a site visit and meeting the client to discuss the job further, we agreed that the best way forward was to use wallpaper graphics and die cut lettering.

Wallpaper graphics give different textures and finishes which enables you to customise almost any wall. These graphics are digitally printed with high resolution images allowing you to create dramatic, large scale floor to ceiling visuals, which we needed for this job as we had an exceptionally large wall to cover! It is durable, fade resistant and wipe cleanable, plus extremely cost effective.

We produced a range of samples for both parts of the job, to firstly show the quality of the product and secondly to ensure the finished colours looked great.

Once approved we printed the wallpaper and lettering, & carried out the installation. The area now looks vibrant and welcoming - just like Mix96!

We enjoyed this job as a great part of our work is seeing the before and after transformation. Wallpaper is a quick and easy way to change a dull area into something bright and vibrant. Updating such a large space made a massive impact.

Always helpful, professional and accommodating

Celebrating a 20th birthday with a rebrand!

Alcom IT Logo

Celebrating a 20th birthday with a rebrand!

Alcom IT

We enjoyed working with Alcom IT on its big revamp as we were able to design and produce many different elements. This project also needed a quick turnaround - did we do it? Of course we did!

The Brief

Last year, Alcom IT turned 20. To celebrate the occasion, they underwent an exciting rebrand to better reflect the range and quality of their services, 20 years on.

We were brought in to assist with the revamp and were tasked with creating a range of items and merchandise.

We had under 8 weeks to complete the project in time for the big unveiling at the beginning of April 2019.

What we did to help

We worked closely and met regularly with Alcom IT to design, manufacture and install a variety of products including:

  • A new fascia sign for the front of the building. This sign consisted of an aluminium tray panel with individually cut Acrylic letters.
  • A complete van wrap. Here we wrapped a pure white van to make it Alcom IT orange. We also created hub cap graphics.
  • Embroidered clothing and personalised mugs, for the whole team.
  • Internal window graphics.
  • New pavement signs.

We provided colour swatches to ensure the new corporate orange colour remained consistent throughout each of the items manufacturing processes. It was imperative we got this right.

We produced the layouts for the various items, which included superimposing the logo/fascia onto images of where they would be printed/installed. This helped the client visualise the final look and feel of images, fonts, positioning etc prior to manufacture.

From the very first moment we started dealing with Impact Signs it was clear they are all very knowledgeable and passionate.

We usually supply our own artwork but have no clue about technical aspects of sign work so it was great to have Andy, Daniela and the rest of the team help advise us along the way on how to get the best from our designs into stunning reality. They really feel like a part of our team.

Thank you, Impact Signs – you’ve made our re-brand a breeze!
