FAQ's

What makes a mesh banner ‘mesh’?
Mesh uses a perforated, wind-permeable substrate that relieves wind load while delivering sharp, vibrant print. It’s engineered for exposed sites (scaffolds, fences, facades) where standard PVC can struggle

Are mesh banners suitable for indoor and outdoor use?
Yes. Designed primarily for outdoor, wind-exposed locations, mesh also works indoors where glare reduction or partial see-through is desirable

Do you offer double-sided mesh banners?
We generally don’t recommend double-siding on mesh due to show-through. Consider blockout PVC for dual-aspect, or two single-sided mesh banners back-to-back

Are mesh banners okay in windy areas?
they are purpose made for this, the perforations let air pass through, reducing sail effect and extending service life. Correct tensioning and fixings remain essential

How do I care for my mesh banners?
Take down during severe weather. Roll (don’t fold) with the graphic out around a tube. Store cool and dry. Clean with mild soapy water. Inspect hems/eyelets and retension as needed.

Can I customise the size?
Yes — any size from fence panels to large building wraps. Share your exact dimensions and frame constraints and we’ll spec the right finishing.

What finishing options are available?
Reinforced hems, brass/clear eyelets, welded pole pockets, and bespoke reinforcement for high-load points

Will the print look “see-through”?
At normal viewing distances, images are strong. Close up, perforation is visible. We’ll advise on minimum font sizes and contrast to keep text legible

Are mesh banners Local Authority friendly?
Mesh reduces wind load and is commonly accepted for perimeter and construction installs. For consented locations, we’ll advise best-practice fixings.

What artwork should I supply?
Print-ready CMYK PDF/AI/EPS, 5–10 mm bleed, fonts outlined, images embedded, and critical content 30 mm inside edges/eyelets/pockets.

How fast can you deliver?
Standard jobs often ship on next-day production after proof sign-off. Oversize/complex jobs or installs may add time — confirmed at quote.

Maintenance & Tech

Care of your heavy duty or budget banners (vinyl applied lettering)

  • Periodically clean banner with or soapy water.
  • If you need to store banner, please roll banner with the lettering or graphic on the outside. Also, it is wise to keep your banner out of direct sunlight, preferably in a black refuse sack; this will prevent fading or yellowing in the exposed area.
  • Always use the cardboard tube provided. Never fold your banner as this will cause creases and even cracking if left folded for a long period of time. It may also cause the vinyl lettering to lift off
  • Can be used indoors or outdoors, the care instructions are the same regardless.
  • Although many of our customers use our banners for long term use, they are actually intended for short to medium term use only. After a while, due to the migration of plasticizers the vinyl lettering may crease or wrinkle. This is not a fault and for many applications it will not matter, normally due to the distance that the banner is viewed from.
